Swiggy is actively seeking talented and motivated iOS Developers to join their dynamic teams across multiple verticals, including Food delivery, Instamart (instant grocery delivery), and Dineout (restaurant discovery and dining platform)! They are passionate about finding individuals dedicated to crafting high-performance, user-friendly iOS applications that directly impact the lives of millions of users on a daily basis. Current openings include Software Development Engineer (SDE) roles, with experience levels ranging from aSDE (0.5-2 years of relevant experience) to SDE-2 (3-5 years of experience), suggesting a range of opportunities for different skill sets. Responsibilities

• * Spearheading the development and rigorous maintenance of native iOS applications for Swiggy's diverse suite of platforms, specifically catering to the unique needs of Food delivery, Instamart, and Dineout.
• * Actively collaborating within cross-functional and agile teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to meticulously define, creatively design, and seamlessly ship impactful new features and enhancements.
• * Adhering to coding standards and writing clean, highly efficient, well-documented, and easily maintainable code that promotes scalability and long-term stability.
• * Continuously ensuring the optimal performance, exceptional quality, and consistent responsiveness of all iOS applications, delivering a seamless and satisfying user experience.
• * Proactively identifying potential performance bottlenecks, diligently correcting errors, and rapidly fixing bugs to maintain application stability and prevent disruptions.
• * Staying abreast of the ever-evolving landscape of iOS technologies and emerging industry trends, continuously expanding your knowledge and applying new techniques to improve development practices.
• * Actively participating in thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of the overall codebase and architectural design.
• * Effectively working with RESTful APIs for seamless data exchange and skillfully integrating with various third-party services to enhance application functionality and user experience.

Education Qualification

• * Possessing relevant professional experience commensurate with the specific role requirements, including aSDE (0.5-2 years) and SDE-2 (3-5 years) positions, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• * Demonstrable experience in building, rigorously testing, and successfully deploying high-quality iOS applications to the App Store, showcasing a thorough understanding of the app lifecycle.
• * A strong and comprehensive understanding of fundamental iOS development principles, established design patterns, and industry-recognized best practices for creating scalable and maintainable applications.
• * Extensive practical experience with the Swift programming language and/or Objective-C, demonstrating proficiency in writing clean, efficient, and well-structured code.
• * In-depth knowledge of Apple's UIKit framework and/or the modern SwiftUI framework, allowing for the creation of visually appealing and highly interactive user interfaces.
• * Familiarity with commonly used iOS architectural patterns, such as Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) or Model-View-Controller (MVC), for organizing code and promoting testability.
• * Experience with Core Data for persistent data storage, Firebase for backend services and analytics, and Push Notifications for engaging users with timely and relevant information (Based on Skills commonly listed by other iOS developers).
• * Holding a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field, providing a solid foundation in computer science principles (Implied).

Skills

• * Expertise in Swift and/or Objective-C programming languages, demonstrating proficiency in iOS development.
• * Mastery of UIKit and/or SwiftUI frameworks for building dynamic and responsive user interfaces.
• * Proficiency in applying architectural patterns such as MVVM or MVC to structure iOS applications effectively.
• * Solid understanding and practical experience with RESTful APIs for seamless data communication and third-party integrations to extend app functionality.
• * Experience with Core Data for managing persistent data, Firebase for backend services and analytics, and Push Notifications for user engagement and timely communication.
• * Practical experience with version control systems, such as Git, for collaborative development and effective code management, including branching and merging strategies.
• * Exceptional problem-solving skills, demonstrating the ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions independently.
• * Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and work collaboratively in a team environment.
