Job Description

Numerator is seeking a Configuration Engineer to join our Data Extraction (DX) team in India (Remote). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in expanding and maintaining a comprehensive library of receipt parsing configurations utilized by Fortune 500 companies. The role involves developing innovative solutions to complex challenges and acquiring new expertise to complement existing skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop clean, efficient, and thoroughly tested code, supported by pair programming and comprehensive code reviews. While Python is frequently used, our team employs a variety of languages and frameworks.
• Design intricate regular expressions to extract structured data from OCR-processed receipt images, as well as XPATH expressions to extract data from receipt emails.
• Maintain the platform that facilitates receipt extraction at scale.
• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the platform and configurations to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
• Evaluate the technical implications of decisions and develop scalable and sustainable solutions.
• Maintain and resolve existing configuration issues.
• Research and develop innovative configuration technologies to enhance the scalability of our receipt extraction processes.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python programming.
• A strong desire to learn new concepts and improve existing skills and practices.
• Familiarity with web technologies, including HTTP, JSON, HTML, XPath, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git and Subversion.
• A genuine passion for writing clean code and developing elegant solutions to complex problems.
• A commitment to expanding your knowledge and skills in Python and cloud-based technologies.
• Self-motivation to actively participate in ongoing learning and development through pair programming, test-driven development, code reviews, and the adoption of new technologies and best practices.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
