Job Description

The GenC role encompasses the following responsibilities:

Candidates applying for GenC Next should possess strong technical and academic proficiency, including advanced programming and coding skills, and full-stack capabilities with industry-accredited certificates in one or more of the following areas: Java, C#, Web technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript), Python, Oracle, SQL/PLSQL, Cloud (AWS, Azure, and GCP), Data Structures and Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming, Maven, Spring Core, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring REST, Advanced Python, Advanced Cloud Fundamentals, ASP .Net Core, SQL Server, Entity Framework Core, ASP .Net Core Web API.

Candidates for GenC Pro should be technically proficient with expertise in enterprise platforms/products/specific technologies, such as Cybersecurity, Oracle, Salesforce, Mulesoft, Pega, SAP ABAP, SAP Basis and ServiceNow with Industry accredited certificate.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and comprehending business requirements, seeking necessary clarifications, and generating comprehensive documentation.
• Developing, maintaining, testing, debugging, and deploying code in accordance with stipulated requirement specifications.
• Understanding data prerequisites and formulating corresponding test scenarios.
• Comprehending the Agile application development framework, associated deliverables, and adherence to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Creating low-level designs for individual components.
• Identifying and prioritizing tasks to ensure timely completion and proactively addressing potential issues to mitigate points of failure.
• Taking ownership of assigned goals and ensuring their timely and efficient accomplishment.
• Actively participating in project team meetings and technical sessions to contribute to the development of reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions.
• Continuously engaging in upskilling, reskilling, and cross-skilling initiatives to adapt to emerging technologies.
• Demonstrating exceptional communication skills.
• Exhibiting the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates graduating in 2025 with a B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech degree in specific disciplines are eligible to apply (Streams like Leather technology, Food technology, Fashion technology, etc. are excluded).
• Applicants must possess a consistent academic record with a minimum of 60% in X, XII, Diploma, UG & PG (rounding off 59.9% is not permitted).
• At the time of joining, all selected candidates must maintain a minimum aggregate of 60% in their pursuing degree with no outstanding arrears.
• CGPA to percentage conversion will be considered according to university guidelines.
• Candidates with standing arrears are not eligible.
• Flexibility to work from any Cognizant office location in any given shift and technology is mandatory.
• Open to Indian nationals / OCIs who are currently residing in India.
• All communications will be sent to the registered email ID in Superset, which must be a personal email ID and will be considered the primary email ID throughout the hiring process and until Full-Time Employment (FTE) onboarding. This email ID cannot be changed.
