Job Description

Procter & Gamble is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join its team and contribute to groundbreaking innovation projects. This role offers the opportunity to leverage cutting-edge data science techniques to solve complex problems and significantly impact the company's operations.

Responsibilities

• * Provide technical leadership and guidance to support the operational unit's (OU) innovative projects, acting as a key driver in achieving project goals and overcoming challenges.
• * Collaborate closely with the innovation team to explore and implement new platforms, machine control systems, data processing methodologies, and advanced analytics. Develop the analytical capabilities of other team members through mentorship and training.
• * Develop and meticulously plan analytical projects in direct response to evolving business needs, employing advanced data science tools to address critical process inefficiencies within the region.
• * Develop novel analytical, predictive, and prescriptive modeling methods and tools as needed. Propose robust and fault-tolerant prescriptive analytic models to enhance process control strategies, ultimately minimizing operational effort and maximizing product quality.
• * Collaborate effectively with process/equipment engineers and application developers to identify data sets relevant to analysis.
• * Partner with process/equipment owners and the Information Technology Operations team (ITOT) in developing and refining data models for enhanced analytical capabilities. Assume full ownership of the data model, encompassing its maintenance and ongoing development for the hub-site.
• * Contribute to the definition of work processes for deploying and maintaining predictive/analytical modeling architectures, establishing modeling standards, alarm systems, reporting mechanisms, and robust data analysis methodologies.
• * Conduct thorough external research to identify and propose innovative analytical modeling products, services, protocols, and standards that can accelerate the company's smart manufacturing initiatives.
• * Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve performance issues related to predictive modeling.

Education Qualification

Skills

Familiarity with functional programming and scripting languages such as .NET, VB, C++, Python, and Matlab is also essential.
• * Possess a solid technical understanding of mechatronic systems and first principles, integrating principles of process, mechanical, electrical, control, and systems engineering.
• * Proven experience in advanced analytics, big data, and machine learning techniques.
• * Demonstrated proficiency in data engineering using technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, SQL, and KNIME.
• * Experience working within Agile project methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban) and operating in DevOps and CI/CD environments.
• * A thorough understanding of modern IT security risks and best practices.
• * Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively influence stakeholders and collaborate across different functional teams.
