Red Hat’s Digital Experience Platform department has a number of applications that share common CI/CD tools and platforms. This role is focused on supporting that infrastructure and working with development teams that depend on these shared tools and systems. Our goal is to ensure we are empowering the developers to maximize their performance while also working towards lowering our operational footprint as much as possible.
The specialization of this role will be focused on Nexus for a community downloads platform.
Install additional pipeline automations
Introduce fresh collaborative tools or solutions.
constructing shared, common CI/CD building components
React to a few deployment failures in the event that a platform bug requires attention.
Give development teams the tools and training they need to manage themselves.
Meet with IT and take part in discussions on impending and current changes that could affect our CI/CD platform.
Include validations and tests in the deployment process.
Responding to alarms during business hours and working a weekend on-call shift once a month are examples of on-call responsibilities.
Carry out operational tasks associated with
Pipeline malfunctions
repairing
Migrations
Akamai modifications
Experience in the above mentioned requirements are highly preferable
deep familiarity with podman or Docker
strong knowledge of CI/CD principles
a deep understanding of CI Tools
strong knowledge of shell scripting
knowledge of RHEL/Linux
Ansible experience is a plus.
some acquaintance with Kubernetes or Openshift 4.x
Easily interacting with developers to help day-to-day difficulties
