Responsibilities

  • Participate in a customized new hire bootcamp during the initial 90 days to further develop software engineering expertise.
  • Convert business requirements into actionable technical specifications.
  • Design, implement, and test applications and software systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to strategize and maintain necessary TDD/CI/CD development and Q/A environments.
  • Contribute feedback and influence the design process to facilitate the development of a highly testable platform, applications, and data models.
  • Incorporate quality, performance, and reliability considerations from the outset of development.
  • Assume ownership of assigned tasks and manage them through the entire software development lifecycle.
  • Investigate and resolve defects within the established system.
  • Contribute to the definition of non-functional requirements and build and test systems to satisfy those requirements.
  • Write clean, efficient, well-designed, and thoroughly documented code.
  • Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Participate as an active member of a geographically distributed Agile team, contributing to its overall success and ongoing improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Full professional proficiency in the English language.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
