This entry-level software engineering role is suitable for individuals with zero to three years of experience in software development and testing. The selected candidate will participate in a comprehensive training program. Following successful completion of the training, assignments to specific teams and roles will be made based on prevailing business needs. These roles may encompass development, testing, or other engineering functions, contingent upon business requirements.

As an Associate Software Engineer I, you will be involved in the design, implementation, testing, and ongoing maintenance of both new and existing applications and systems. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative and learning-oriented environment. This position necessitates robust problem-solving capabilities, a collaborative mindset, and effective communication skills throughout the software delivery process. The successful engineer will actively participate in engineering initiatives and SCRUM ceremonies. Responsibilities

• Participate in a customized new hire bootcamp during the initial 90 days to further develop software engineering expertise.
• Convert business requirements into actionable technical specifications.
• Design, implement, and test applications and software systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to strategize and maintain necessary TDD/CI/CD development and Q/A environments.
• Contribute feedback and influence the design process to facilitate the development of a highly testable platform, applications, and data models.
• Incorporate quality, performance, and reliability considerations from the outset of development.
• Assume ownership of assigned tasks and manage them through the entire software development lifecycle.
• Investigate and resolve defects within the established system.
• Contribute to the definition of non-functional requirements and build and test systems to satisfy those requirements.
• Write clean, efficient, well-designed, and thoroughly documented code.
• Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting activities.
• Participate as an active member of a geographically distributed Agile team, contributing to its overall success and ongoing improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Full professional proficiency in the English language.
• Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Passion for and enthusiasm for programming and software quality.
• Proven ability and positive attitude toward working and collaborating effectively with distributed teams.
• A proactive, problem-solving approach and the ability to contribute effectively as a team member.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming principles.
• Some experience with Java or .NET-based applications, RDBMS, and Web services.
• Exposure to development using Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and microservice architecture principles.
• A strong willingness to acquire new skills and adapt to evolving requirements.
• Zero to three years of prior experience in developing and testing using C# or Java.
