Responsibilities
- Participate in a customized new hire bootcamp during the initial 90 days to further develop software engineering expertise.
- Convert business requirements into actionable technical specifications.
- Design, implement, and test applications and software systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to strategize and maintain necessary TDD/CI/CD development and Q/A environments.
- Contribute feedback and influence the design process to facilitate the development of a highly testable platform, applications, and data models.
- Incorporate quality, performance, and reliability considerations from the outset of development.
- Assume ownership of assigned tasks and manage them through the entire software development lifecycle.
- Investigate and resolve defects within the established system.
- Contribute to the definition of non-functional requirements and build and test systems to satisfy those requirements.
- Write clean, efficient, well-designed, and thoroughly documented code.
- Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting activities.
- Participate as an active member of a geographically distributed Agile team, contributing to its overall success and ongoing improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Full professional proficiency in the English language.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Passion for and enthusiasm for programming and software quality.
- Proven ability and positive attitude toward working and collaborating effectively with distributed teams.
