Job Description
We are searching for a capable Help Desk specialist that can offer timely and helpful technical support for computer systems. You will respond to questions about simple technological problems and provide solutions. A great help desk technician needs to be well-versed in technical matters and possess strong communication skills in order to identify issues and provide solutions. In order to handle challenging clients, they also need to be patient and customer-focused. The objective is to add value for customers in a way that maintains the business and reputation of the organisation.
Responsibilities
- operate as the initial point of contact for clients contacting you via email or phone for technical assistance.
- Conduct remote troubleshooting by using diagnostic methods and relevant enquiries.
- Choose the optimal course of action depending on the problem and the information that customers have provided.
- Take the client through the steps involved in solving the problem.
- Send unsolved problems to the support staff at the next tier.
- Give precise details on IT goods and services.
- Keep logs of incidents, issues, and their resolutions.
- Update and monitor customer data and status
- Forward any consumer comments or recommendations to the relevant internal staff.
- Determine and recommend potential process improvements.
Education Qualifications
- Computer science bachelor's degrees in engineering, technology, and master's degrees in computer applications
- A certification in ITIL is not required, although it is preferred. It would be ideal to have MCP certification.
- Being familiar with the ServiceNow tool would be ideal.
- strong experience troubleshooting Office apps and Active Directory on Wired, Wireless, and VPN networks.
- at least one year of experience in a customer service capacity or as a help desk technician
- 24/7 assistance is provided. Work can be tough and hectic at times.
- willing to work any shift, but particularly nights and weekends.
- Tech-savvy and proficient in databases, remote control, and office automation products
- solid knowledge of mobile devices, computers, and other tech stuff
- the capacity to identify and fix simple technical problems
- German and French proficiency as well as outstanding communication abilities
- calm-headed and focused on the customer
Skills
