Job Description
As a Mobile QA Automation Engineering Intern, you will be involved in various quality assurance (QA) and automation tasks specific to mobile applications. A detailed breakdown of responsibilities follows:
1. **Test Planning:** Assist in the development and maintenance of comprehensive test plans for mobile applications. This entails gaining a thorough understanding of application requirements and defining the scope of testing activities.
2. **Test Case Development:** Contribute to the creation of detailed test cases for mobile application features, encompassing both functional and non-functional aspects, such as usability, performance, and security.
3. **Automation Scripting:** Acquire proficiency in writing automated test scripts utilizing industry-standard tools and frameworks, including Appium, Selenium, XCTest, Espresso, and other mobile automation technologies. These scripts will facilitate the automation of repetitive test cases, thereby enhancing efficiency and test coverage.
4. **Execution and Reporting:** Execute test cases both manually and through automated scripts, meticulously recording test results and reporting defects using issue tracking systems such as JIRA or Bugzilla. You may also assist in the creation of comprehensive test reports for stakeholders.
5. **Regression Testing:** Support the maintenance and execution of regression test suites to ensure that new features or changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.
6. **Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):** Gain practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and processes, including the integration of automated tests into the pipeline to ensure thorough testing of code changes before deployment.
7. **Network Monitoring with Charles Proxy:** Leverage Charles Proxy for network monitoring during mobile application testing. Learn to configure Charles Proxy to effectively capture and analyze network traffic between the mobile application and external servers. Use this capability to inspect HTTP/HTTPS requests and responses, identify potential performance bottlenecks, debug API interactions, and ensure data security and privacy compliance. Familiarity with Charles Proxy enhances your ability to conduct thorough testing, particularly in scenarios involving network-dependent functionalities, such as data synchronization, authentication, and API integrations.
