Job Description

Cognizant is actively seeking a skilled and motivated Developer with 0 to 3 years of experience in React JS to join our dynamic team as a Programmer Analyst. This position offers a hybrid work model, combining the flexibility of remote work with opportunities for on-site collaboration, primarily during day shifts. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development of innovative web applications, directly contributing to an enhanced user experience and the overall growth of the business.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain high-performance and responsive web applications utilizing React JS.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Write clean, well-documented, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to project requirements and coding standards.
• Thoroughly debug and resolve technical issues to ensure the smooth and seamless functionality of applications.
• Implement user interface (UI) components, adhering to established and well-known React JS workflows and best practices.
• Optimize application components to ensure maximum performance and responsiveness across a wide range of web-capable devices and browsers.
• Actively participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality, enforce coding standards, and share knowledge with fellow team members.
• Remain current with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in React JS development to ensure applications remain modern and competitive.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, addressing their inquiries and resolving any issues they may encounter.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the software development process and team productivity by identifying areas for enhancement and suggesting innovative solutions.
• Evaluate the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and provide constructive feedback to designers, ensuring designs are practical and implementable.
• Collaborate closely with backend developers to integrate APIs and other services seamlessly into the front-end application.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of application changes, updates, and configurations to facilitate seamless integration and future maintenance.

Qualifications

• Possess a strong and comprehensive understanding of React JS and its fundamental principles, including component lifecycle, state management, and virtual DOM.
• Demonstrate practical experience with popular React JS workflows and state management libraries such as Redux, Context API, or similar.
• Exhibit proficiency in core web development technologies, including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with a deep understanding of their underlying principles.
• Demonstrate familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern front-end build pipelines and tools, such as Webpack, Babel, and npm or yarn.
• Exhibit a working knowledge of code versioning tools, specifically Git, and proficiency in using Git for collaboration and version control.
• Possess a keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality user experiences that meet or exceed user expectations.
• Display excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as an integral part of a team, effectively communicating and contributing to shared goals.
• Experience with TypeScript and front-end testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Enzyme, or React Testing Library) is considered a plus.
• Exhibit a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, methodologies, and development practices as the industry evolves.
