The Editorial Reviewer will play a crucial part in shaping the narrative and ensuring the overall success of Pocket FM's audio productions. This includes meticulous script review and refinement, leveraging AI tools for localization, and collaboration with writers and production teams to optimize the storytelling experience. The position demands a keen understanding of audience preferences and cultural sensitivities, as well as a proactive role in shaping future content strategies.

Responsibilities
- Reviewing and refining scripts to ensure exceptional clarity, narrative flow, and impactful storytelling. This encompasses comprehensive correction of spelling, punctuation, grammar, and any factual inaccuracies.
- ● Utilizing and adapting content generated by AI tools (Gen AI) for localization purposes. This involves creatively adjusting the AI-generated output to enhance the storytelling elements, refining dialogue, restructuring narratives, and adapting the content to resonate deeply with the target audience.
- ● Engaging in close collaboration with writers and various members of the production teams to ensure seamless integration of editorial feedback and creative vision.
- ● Maintaining a high degree of sensitivity to cultural nuances, ensuring all content is appropriate and aligned with audience expectations, and proactively avoiding potentially offensive language or themes.
- ● Actively contributing to the evolution of content strategy by participating in brainstorming sessions, offering insightful feedback, and proposing innovative ideas to elevate the overall quality of Pocket FM's audio content.
Education Qualification
- ● A Bachelor's or Master's degree is preferred, showcasing a demonstrable passion and aptitude for storytelling.
- ● A highly creative individual with a proven track record in writing, demonstrating exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and a meticulous attention to detail.
Skills
- The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with a robust writing background, possessing an exceptional command of the English language (both written and spoken), and demonstrating a remarkable eye for detail.
- ● Proficient in scriptwriting and refinement, including the creation and optimization of dialogues, narration, and sound cues (SFX) to maximize the storytelling potential and emotional impact of the audio content.
- ● Demonstrated comfort and proficiency in utilizing and adapting content generated from Generative AI tools.
- ● Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments, consistently meeting tight deadlines, and effortlessly transitioning between editing and writing tasks.
- ● Experience and familiarity with Google Workspace applications (Docs, Sheets, and Slides) and other common content management systems.
