Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and define complex issues, contributing meaningfully to brainstorming sessions focused on problem-solving.
  • Structure and organize undefined or large-scale problems to facilitate effective resolution.
  • Employ systemic thinking and innovative approaches to develop diverse solution options.
  • Evaluate the costs, benefits, and potential challenges of each solution to inform optimal implementation strategies.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate complex information in a structured manner tailored to the specific audience.
  • Understand HSBC’s strategic priorities, business drivers, competitive landscape, and competitive strategies to develop strategically aligned solutions, considering risk and reward.
  • Evaluate business decisions to ensure alignment with the Group’s overall commercial strategy.
  • Anticipate potential risks to service or performance and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage review processes effectively to identify and address quality issues early in the project lifecycle.
  • Cultivate collaborative working relationships with analysis and design teams within our delivery partners and with external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in transformation skills, including business analysis techniques, process mapping, data analysis, SQL knowledge, and Agile methodologies (experience with Agile ways of working, JIRA, and Confluence).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships, including Business, IT, Data, and Operations teams.
  • Relevant domain experience in business analysis.
  • Significant experience in a business analysis role, managing complex projects across multiple countries or regions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the financial services industry, with specific functional expertise.
  • Proven experience in business analysis, solution design, change and implementation, or consulting activities.
  • Experience in change adoption processes, including planning and implementing interventions to enable smooth transitions, embed changes, and facilitate transition to business as usual, encompassing requirements gathering, communications, and end-user training.
  • Experience with transformation changes design and initiation (D&I) is highly desirable.
  • Experience gathering requirements and conducting design activity across a mix of business, operations, and technology-focused projects.
