Job Description
This position is centered around Anthology Ally, a transformative product designed to enhance the accessibility of digital course content. In light of the growing global emphasis on accessible digital learning materials, Anthology Ally addresses critical challenges faced by institutions. As a member of the Anthology Ally engineering team, you will contribute to the development of industry-leading tools that promote inclusivity, sustainability, and automation to improve accessibility for all students.
As an Associate Software Engineer I, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of key features within the Ally product. Collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams across product and software development will be essential. This role involves working on an ethical and impactful product, utilizing Scala for backend development and JavaScript for the frontend. Our applications are deployed within the AWS cloud environment, and we employ Git for comprehensive version control. You will be integrated into a distributed team, collaborating with colleagues located around the world.
