Job Description

As a Junior Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in the design and delivery of scalable solutions tailored to meet the complex requirements of leading organizations worldwide. Collaborating closely with fellow team members, you will strive to fully understand and surpass user expectations, while consistently pushing the boundaries of technology to contribute to Cornerstone’s continued success. Operating within an agile software development environment, you will have ownership of entire feature development cycles, participating in development sprints and regular release cadences.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth analysis of defined specifications to gain a comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
• Develop and meticulously document designs that adhere to established industry standards and best practices.
• Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve software inadequacies of moderate complexity, ensuring code quality and system stability.
• Write well-documented and maintainable code, develop thorough unit tests, complete programming tasks, and rigorously test and debug moderately complex features based on detailed specifications.
• Design effective and efficient solutions for moderately complex features, considering scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Actively participate in team code review sessions, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
• Contribute to the estimation process for project deliverables, providing realistic timelines and resource allocation.
• Attend requirement and design review discussions, offering valuable insights and contributing to informed decision-making.
• Collaborate effectively with extended teams, including support, services, and project management, to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Enthusiastic campus recruits with a strong desire for continuous learning and professional growth are encouraged to apply.
• Solid foundation in core and advanced Java or .Net programming concepts.
• Demonstrated understanding of web development technologies and their application in building modern web applications.
• Proven experience in Object-Oriented Java or .Net development.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
• Knowledge of advanced front-end development frameworks and platforms; React proficiency is highly desirable.
• Understanding of transaction-based systems and relational database management systems (RDBMS); SQL knowledge is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Familiarity with Scrum or other Agile development methodologies.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment, contributing to shared goals and fostering a positive work atmosphere.
