Responsibilities
- Provide technical design specifications for software applications.
- Create and update software documentation to accurately reflect current architectural designs.
- Participate actively in code reviews as required.
- Implement updates and enhancements to existing applications based on evolving user stories and feature requests.
- Execute unit testing, validation, and comprehensive documentation for new and modified applications, adhering to established protocols and techniques.
- Offer technical support and guidance to both internal and external stakeholders by addressing inquiries about application design and functionality.
- Collaborate with Level III support teams to assist in troubleshooting complex issues.
- Ensure the consistent functionality of applications, integrity of databases, successful data loading, and effective quality assurance and data export processes.
- Uphold high-quality service and departmental standards by strictly adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and supporting the enforcement of these standards.
- Contribute positively to team objectives by resolving issues efficiently, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current software development trends, emerging technologies, and the specific regulatory requirements applicable to clinical trial applications.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
- Completion of coursework in software development and proficiency in major programming languages are desirable.
- Possession of Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer or Sun Certified Java Developer certifications is a plus.
- 0 to 1 year of experience, including recent graduates (freshers), in software development utilizing languages such as Java, Visual Basic, C++, Python, and fundamental SQL.
- Prior experience working within Agile software development environments.
- A foundational understanding of development and Quality Assurance (QA) processes.
- Previous exposure to clinical trials or pharmaceutical industry environments is advantageous.
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Maintenance of a positive and professional demeanor in all interactions.
