The position of Physical Layer Firmware Engineer is open for employment at Apple!

Responsibilities
- To improve signal processing algorithms for effective firmware/hardware execution, collaborate with systems engineers.
- Define hardware interfaces, processors, buses, DMA, accelerators, and memory subsystems in collaboration with silicon designers.
- Describe, plan, and put into practice the novel mobile wireless communications system's firmware architecture.
- Provide support for the creation of virtual platforms and pre-silicon emulation systems, and utilise them for HW verification and pre-silicon FW design.
- Pre-silicon FW design and HW verification can be done using the virtual platforms and pre-silicon emulation systems that you help develop.
- Examine and put to use cutting-edge technologies for testing, formal verification, and building
Education Qualifications
- Describe techniques and recommended procedures.
Skills
- familiarity with hardware control for processing physical layer 4G/5G data paths
- familiarity with physical layer 4G/5G data route processing hardware control
- familiarity with utilising specialised digital signal processing hardware to construct digital signal processing algorithms
- familiarity with applying digital signal processing techniques with specialised digital signal processing hardware
- strong grasp of the fundamentals of digital signal processing and linear algebra
- thorough comprehension of the concepts of computer science and software engineering
- substantial familiarity with concurrent programming and memory-constrained Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
