• Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
• Published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work.

• Total research score of 120 as per UGC Regulations, 2018 for Professor.
• Minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in University/College as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and/or research experience at equivalent level for Professor.
• Evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidates.
• For Teacher Education Professor: Master’s Degree in Arts/Humanities/Sciences/Commerce (min 55%), Master’s Degree in Education (M.Ed./M.A. Education) (min 55%), Ph.D. in Education with research publications and score as above, and 10 years of teaching/research experience.
• For Associate Professor: A good academic record with Ph.D. Degree.
• Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks for Associate Professor.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to Assistant Professor for Associate Professor.
• Minimum of 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals for Associate Professor.
• Total research score of 75 as per UGC Regulations, 2018 for Associate Professor.
• For Teacher Education Associate Professor: Postgraduate degree in Sciences/Mathematics/Social Sciences/Languages/Commerce (min 55%), Postgraduate degree in Education (M.Ed./M.A. Education) (min 55%), Ph.D. in Education or relevant discipline, and 8 years of teaching/research experience with publications and score as above.
• For Agriculture Associate Professor: Ph.D. and Master’s Degree in concerned/allied/relevant disciplines in Agriculture. Specific requirements as above for Associate Professor, with inclusion of NAAS listed journals for publications.
• For Assistant Professor: Master’s degree with 55% marks in a concerned/relevant/allied subject.
• Cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR, or a similar test accredited by UGC like SLET/SET, or awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations (2009 or 2016).
• Exemption from NET/SLET/SET for Ph.D. candidates registered before July 11, 2009, subject to fulfilling specific conditions (regular mode, evaluated by two external examiners, open viva voce, published two research papers including one in a referred journal, presented two papers in sponsored conferences/seminars).
• For Assistant Professor (Political Science and Law): Master’s degree in Political Science (min 55%), LLM (min 55%), and cleared NET in both Political Science and Law or equivalent Ph.D. exemption.
• For Assistant Professor in Agriculture: Master’s degree with 55% marks in a concerned/relevant/allied subject and cleared NET (UGC/CSIR/ICAR) or equivalent Ph.D. exemption.
• For Assistant Professor (Livestock Production Management) in Agriculture: Recognized veterinary qualification (first and second schedule of Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984), registered with State Veterinary Council/Veterinary Council of India, B.V.Sc. & A.H. with at least 55% marks, Master’s degree with 55% marks in concerned/relevant/allied subject, and cleared NET or equivalent Ph.D. exemption.
• For Assistant Professor (Farm Machinery and Power Engineering) in Agriculture: Master’s degree (M. Tech.) with 55% marks in a concerned/relevant/allied subject, and cleared NET or equivalent Ph.D. exemption.
• Foreign Ph.D. holders must have their degree from a university ranked among the top 500 in the World University Rankings (QS, THE, or ARWU). An Equivalence Certificate from AIU is required unless exempted.
• Relaxation of 5% in eligibility marks for SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/Differently abled candidates at Bachelor’s and Master’s levels.
• For PwBD category, disability must be not less than 40%.
