Qualifications

  • **Age Limit:** Applicants must have been born between January 2, 1989, and January 1, 2007 (inclusive of both dates) to be eligible for these positions.
  • **(i) Technical Assistant:**
  • **(a) Educational:** A three-year Diploma in Electronics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Hardware Engineering (full-time regular course), or a higher qualification, from an institution recognized and approved by the Government of Kerala is required. All qualifications must be of first class or equivalent grade.
  • **(b) Experience:** Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of full-time working experience in a Government Department, Court, or Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) in a capacity involving IT technical support, on-site technical assistance, or a similar role providing in-person hardware, software, and networking support, including technical troubleshooting.
  • **(c) Desirable:** Preference will be given to candidates with six months of experience providing technical support in any court as part of an e-courts project or similar initiatives related to e-governance within the judiciary.
  • **Note:** Candidates claiming equivalent or higher qualifications must provide the relevant Government Order, issued on or before the application deadline, to substantiate their claim, if requested. All required qualifications must have been obtained before the closing date for online application submission.
  • **(ii) Data Entry Operator:**
  • **(a) Educational:** Applicants should possess a three-year Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Hardware, or Electronics. Alternatively, a full-time regular degree along with a certificate in Computer Word Processing or Data Entry Operation (or equivalent) from a recognized institution is acceptable. All qualifications must be of first class or equivalent grade.
  • **(b) Experience:** A minimum of one year of working experience in Government Departments, Courts, or PSUs in the field of word processing, data entry operation, managing e-Sewa Kendras, or handling ICT equipment is mandatory.
  • **(c) Desirable:** Preference will be given to candidates with six months of experience in any court as part of an e-courts project or similar projects involving word processing, data entry operation, handling ICT equipment, or managing e-Sewa Kendras.
  • **Note:** Candidates claiming equivalent or higher qualifications must produce the corresponding Government Order, issued on or before the application deadline, to validate their claim, if requested. All required qualifications must be acquired before the closing date for online application submission.

* **Initial Appointment Tenure:** The initial appointment will be until 2026-03-31. Extension is possible based on Government approval for the continuation of these positions and the candidate’s performance.
* **Selection Process:** Selection for both positions (Recruitment Nos. 17/2025 & 18/2025) will be conducted separately, based on a skill test and/or interview. However, if there is a high volume of applications for either or both posts, a written test may be administered to shortlist candidates for the skill test and/or interview. The final ranked list will be determined by the marks obtained in the skill test and/or interview.
* **Ranked List Validity:** The ranked list resulting from this notification will remain valid for a minimum of one year from the date it is published and will remain in effect until either a new ranked list is published or two years have elapsed, whichever comes first.
* **Application Fee:** A fee of ₹600/- (Rupees Six Hundred only) is applicable for each post. Payment can be made through a system-generated Fee Payment Challan or online via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking, following the on-screen instructions. Bank transaction charges, if any, for application fee payment will be the responsibility of the candidate.
* **Scribe and Compensatory Time for Differently Abled Candidates:**
* Differently abled candidates whose writing speed is affected may avail themselves of a scribe. Intention to use a scribe must be indicated in the online application form.
* The use of a scribe will be governed by High Court guidelines. Candidates must provide a medical certificate and declaration in the prescribed format (available on the recruitment portal: https://hckrecruitment.keralacourts.in) at the time of the test. The scribe’s qualification must be at least one step below the minimum qualification required for the applied post.
* Differently abled candidates, whether utilizing a scribe or not, will receive compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour of examination upon producing a medical certificate confirming their physical limitation to write. The medical certificate format is available in the ‘Downloads’ section of the High Court recruitment portal (https://hckrecruitment.keralacourts.in).
* **Job Location and Nature of Duty:** While the primary job location is the High Court of Kerala, Technical Assistants and Data Entry Operators must be prepared to attend temporary assignments both within and outside the High Court premises, including the Kerala Judicial Academy and other locations designated by the High Court for events or project implementations.
* **Recognition of Degrees:** Candidates holding degrees from universities outside Kerala must obtain a certificate of recognition for their degrees from any Kerala University and keep it available. This certificate must be produced upon request; failure to do so will result in the cancellation of candidature.

* Admission Tickets for the written test and skill test will be available for download three weeks before the test date. Call Letters for the interview will be available two weeks before the interview, and candidates will be notified via SMS/email. Candidates attempting to use edited/modified admission tickets will be disqualified and may be debarred from future applications.
* Candidates unable to download their Admission Ticket/Call Letter should contact the High Court at 0484-2562235 at least one week before the test/interview. Failure to do so will be the candidate’s sole responsibility. Candidates are also advised to regularly check the High Court recruitment portal (https://hckrecruitment.keralacourts.in) for test/interview schedules. Admission to the test/interview is provisional and subject to verification of eligibility conditions by the High Court.
* Issuance of an Admission Ticket/Call Letter does not guarantee final clearance of candidature or acceptance of information provided in the application. The High Court will verify eligibility conditions against original documents during certificate verification.
