Qualifications

  • Applicants must have successfully completed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 pattern) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. A minimum aggregate of 70% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) is required, along with at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).
  • Candidates who have appeared for the JEE (Main) – 2025 exam (for B.E/B.Tech) are eligible to apply.
  • All candidates recommended by the SSB are required to undergo a medical examination as per the standards applicable to the 10+2 (B.Tech) entry.

(a) Selected candidates will be inducted as Cadets for a four-year B.Tech course in either Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electronics & Communication Engineering, depending on Naval requirements. Upon completing the course, a B.Tech degree will be awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). The distribution of cadets between the Executive and Technical Branches (Engineering & Electrical) will follow the current policy.

(b) The Indian Navy will bear all training costs, including books and reading materials. Cadets will also receive entitled clothing and messing.
