About the Company
TTD provides Srivari Laddu Prasadam and Anna Prasadam to the numerous pilgrims visiting the Srivari Temple in Tirumala, as well as other temples managed by TTD. On a daily basis, approximately 150,000 servings of food (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are provided. During weekends and festive periods, this number increases significantly, reaching up to 300,000 servings.
Recognizing the importance of food safety, TTD Management is committed to implementing rigorous food safety standards and guidelines to ensure the preparation and distribution of high-quality, hygienic food and Srivari Prasadam to visiting pilgrims. To this end, a dedicated Food Safety Department has been established to oversee all TTD institutions in Tirumala and Tirupati, as well as other canteens and shops located on the Tirumala hills and in Tirupati.
Job Description
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) invites applications from qualified and motivated candidates for the positions of Senior Food Safety Officer and Food Safety Officer, to be engaged on a contract basis. The initial contract duration will be for a period of two (2) years. The deadline for submitting applications is 2025-07-10. Responsibilities
- The Senior Food Safety Officer will operate under the direction of the Addl. E.O. / JEO, TTD, Tirumala, while the Food Safety Officers will report to the Senior Food Safety Officer.
- The Senior Food Safety Officer and Food Safety Officers are responsible for inspecting food quality, food processing methods, and raw materials used in Srivari Potu, other TTD temple kitchens, MTVAC, other TTD kitchens, TTD institutions, and all TTD-leased private food establishments.
- They will provide recommendations for improving food quality, processes, and maintaining hygienic standards as part of an internal audit system, acting in an advisory capacity.
- They will refer any instances of suspected adulteration or misbranding to the appropriate statutory food safety authorities for further analysis and necessary action.
- They will conduct training programs for food handlers in the aforementioned institutions.
- They will perform any other related duties as assigned by TTD Authorities from time to time.
Qualifications
- A bachelor degree in Food Technology (or) Dairy Technology (or) Oil Technology (or) Agricultural Science (or) Veterinary Science (or) Bio Chemistry (or) Microbiology (or) Master Degree in Chemistry (or) Degree in Medicine from a recognized University, (OR) Any other equivalent recognized qualification notified by Central Government, and has successfully completed training as specified by the Food Authority in a recognised institute by the Govt.
