Job Description

Responsibilities

• Technical Skills Assessment of New Mentors: Responsible for the selection of technically proficient mentors capable of delivering exceptional services, including project reviews and responses on the knowledge platform, to students.
• Technical Quality Assurance of Services: Responsible for implementing processes to guarantee that both new and existing mentors provide technically accurate, high-quality services to students.
• Mentor Performance Classification: Direct responsibility for evaluating and classifying mentors based on performance level (low, medium, or high). This validation process will incorporate all relevant data pertaining to mentor performance, encompassing student ratings, peer audit scores, and data obtained through manual quality checks of services provided.
• High-Performing Mentor Community: Develop and cultivate a community of technically skilled, high-performing mentors who will serve as technical subject matter experts for a variety of Nanodegree programs.
• Ongoing Technical Certification: Design and implement scalable technical certification modules for mentors to enhance their technical expertise and develop the necessary competencies to better support students.
• Technical Mentor Operations Processes: Ensure the timely and effective execution of Mentor Operations processes that require a strong technical understanding of concepts. This includes improving the quality of mentor responses to students and conducting plagiarism investigations.
• Session Lead Selection and Onboarding: Identify and onboard technically strong, high-performing Session Leads who will facilitate virtual connection sessions for Enterprise and Scholarship clients.
• New Initiatives: Collaborate closely with Mentor Operations, Student Services, Product, Engineering, and Content teams to introduce new programs and opportunities for enterprise customers, students, mentors, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A strong technical aptitude with a continuous eagerness to learn.
• Intermediate proficiency in Python or a similar programming language, along with practical development experience.
• Expertise in data analysis, data visualization, data engineering, SQL, data warehouses, data lakes, and data pipelines on both AWS and Azure platforms.
• Exceptional data collection, analysis, and reporting capabilities.
• Experience in designing, launching, and managing operational processes to drive efficiency and scalability.
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple urgent needs effectively.
• Intuitive understanding of best practices for tutoring and providing feedback, enabling guidance for Udacity mentors.
• Adaptability in using or learning various methods for tracking and conveying information, such as Zendesk, Google Docs, forums, online chat programs, and email.
