Job Description

Cognizant is actively recruiting fresh graduates for the role of Analyst Trainee. This program is designed to onboard individuals who will be aligned to specific IT practices such as Multicloud, Digital Workplace Services, Integrated Smart Operations, or general IT, based on their qualifications and performance during the hiring process. The program offers comprehensive training and development opportunities for recent graduates looking to kickstart their careers in the IT industry. Successful candidates will gain hands-on experience in various IT domains, contributing to client projects and company initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Perform database queries, CRUD operations, and write stored procedures.
• Prepare and execute test cases and scripts, including manual and automated tests.
• Analyze and resolve service tickets by identifying root causes and applying standard operating procedures.
• Demonstrate proficiency in IT Service Management and Data Analytics tools.
• Maintain and administer computing environments, monitor production servers, and manage incidents.
• Provide support for Windows, Network, Database, Storage, Messaging, Collaboration, and Cloud environments.
• Adhere to defined guidelines in SOPs/Runbooks, understanding business impact.
• Comply with customer security and compliance requirements.
• Follow customer communication etiquettes.
• Meet stated productivity requirements for the engagement.
• Contribute to continuous service improvement plans (CSI).
• Participate proactively in knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Act as a buddy for new hires.
• Adhere to organizational policies and processes, including security policies, learning plans, and timelines.
• Provide first-line technical support and assistance to end-users, addressing IT-related issues and inquiries.
• Log and track all support tickets, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution of problems.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, diagnosing and resolving technical issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate complex issues and ensure prompt resolution.
• Maintain knowledge base articles and documentation to enhance self-service options and facilitate efficient problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Graduation from the 2024 or 2025 batch.
• Possession of a three-year full-time undergraduate degree.
• For IT & Integrated Smart Operations alignment: BCA, BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology (allied streams), Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics & Electronics.
• For Multicloud and Digital Workplace Services alignment: Any three-year UG degree (e.g., BCA, BSc, BA, BBA, BCom, Bvoc, BMS).
• Minimum 60% academic score in X, XII, Diploma, and UG degree for IT & Integrated Smart Operations alignment (rounding off 59.9% is not allowed).
• Minimum 50% academic score in UG degree for Multicloud and Digital Workplace Services alignment (rounding off 49.9% is not allowed).
• Consistent academic record with minimum 60% in X, XII, Diploma, and UG for IT & Integrated Smart Operations alignment.
• No standing arrears at the time of application or joining.
• Flexibility to work from any Cognizant office location in India.
• Willingness to work in any shift timing.
• Willingness to work with any technology.
• Must be an Indian national or OCI currently residing in India.
• No prior work experience will be considered; candidates join as freshers.
• Candidates who have attended assessments or interviews in the last 6 months should not apply.
