Job Description

CGI is actively seeking enthusiastic and customer-oriented recent graduates with a background in Computer Science, BCA, or B.Tech to join their Service Desk team as Service Desk Associates. This entry-level position focuses on providing essential Level-1 IT support to end-users, resolving technical challenges, and contributing to the smooth operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure. The role requires individuals to act as the primary point of contact for IT issues, diagnose and troubleshoot a range of hardware, software, and network problems, and ensure efficient resolution within defined service level agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for all IT-related inquiries through various communication channels such as phone, email, chat, and ticketing systems.
  • Provide Level-1 troubleshooting for common issues related to hardware, software applications, network connectivity, email services, VPN access, and other organizational applications.
  • Assist users with essential account management tasks, including password resets, account unlocks, and managing user access permissions.
  • Accurately log and meticulously track all reported incidents within the designated ticketing system, ensuring prompt resolution in adherence to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Effectively escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate Level 2 or Level 3 support teams for further investigation and resolution.
  • Contribute to the organization’s knowledge base by documenting troubleshooting steps and resolutions for future reference.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating technical solutions and resolutions in a clear and understandable manner to end-users.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. Computer Science, BCA, or B.Tech graduates from the years 2023, 2024, or 2025.
  • Minimum academic score of 60% across 10th grade, 12th grade, and undergraduate studies.
  • Absence of any active academic backlogs.
  • Demonstrated strong academic performance and a genuine eagerness to learn and develop within the IT field.
