Job Description

As a Digital Associate supporting SA/VLM (Search Advertising/Vendor Labeling Management), you will be instrumental in generating superior quality written content specifically designed for utilization in videos and/or images. This role also includes annotating objects present within audio, image, and video files. The core responsibility is to develop content that is exceptionally clear, succinct, and thoroughly informative, effectively catering to the specific needs and expectations of the designated target audience.

Responsibilities

• Executing fundamental annotation tasks concentrated within a defined area of the Machine Learning (ML) data processing pipeline, such as audio, image, or video file analysis. This involves the proficient utilization of internal tools and software provided by the team.
• Participating in data collection initiatives, strictly following provided scripts and instructions. Maintaining strict adherence to all compliance regulations and confidentiality mandates is paramount.
• Demonstrating advanced language proficiency, incorporating a comprehensive understanding of grammar and linguistic principles, to guarantee that all generated text consistently adheres to correct grammatical structure, proper syntax, and appropriate language conventions.
• Upholding superior internal process quality through the consistent execution of quality audits and verifications.
• Consistently achieving established daily productivity goals and quality benchmarks. Meticulously tracking annotation and data collection-related queries and proactively sharing this information with relevant stakeholders to facilitate timely and effective resolution.
• Diligently tracking the status of daily task completion using the recommended tools and providing comprehensive individual status reports.
• Strictly adhering to all confidentiality and compliance regulations to ensure the absolute protection of customer data and the Amazon brand. Actively assisting in the testing of new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ML data tools.
• Providing targeted and timely feedback to enhance existing processes and facilitate the team’s ability to achieve more consistent, high-quality results.
• Delivering remedial instruction on tool usage and other relevant topics as needed.

Qualifications

• Possess a robust command of the English language, exhibiting excellence in grammar, syntax, and vocabulary.
• A background in linguistics, creative writing, computational linguistics, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Demonstrate an analytical aptitude, equipped with the capacity to evaluate and interpret data to drive enhancements in system performance.
• Exhibit strong familiarity with the Windows desktop environment, including proficiency in utilizing Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and other relevant applications.
• Possess the flexibility and genuine interest to perform repetitive tasks.
• Maintain a high energy level and a proactive demeanor. Display a strong sense of ownership, internal drive, and a readiness to embrace the challenges associated with meeting daily deadlines.
• Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and a proven capability to identify and rectify errors or inconsistencies within generated descriptions.
