Job Description

This role involves an Engineer specializing in Software Development with a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI). The primary objective is to enhance coding efficiency, accelerate problem-solving, and improve the overall quality of solutions by actively utilizing AI-assisted development tools. A significant aspect of the role is proficiency in GitHub, including managing repositories, pull requests, branching strategies, and code reviews, while also integrating AI workflows into the development lifecycle. The engineer will be responsible for identifying opportunities to leverage AI for improving development productivity, maintainability, and scalability, ensuring strict adherence to coding standards, security protocols, and performance benchmarks. The position is within an Agile, Behavior & Test-Driven Development environment, incorporating DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Actively leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, lovable.ai, Claude, Cursor) to accelerate development, enhance code quality, and support problem-solving throughout the development lifecycle.
• Utilize AI tools for code refactoring, debugging, generating test cases, and creating documentation.
• Manage code using GitHub, including version control, pull requests, and conducting code reviews.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and reliability issues, employing AI-driven insights for application optimization.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications, utilizing React.js for the frontend and Node.js/Express.js for the backend.
• Build reusable, responsive UI components using React, Tailwind CSS, and contemporary component libraries.
• Develop, integrate, and optimize RESTful APIs, ensuring adherence to performance, scalability, and security best practices.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and QA teams, effectively communicating ideas and adapting swiftly to evolving requirements within an agile framework.
• Debug, optimize, and improve application performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Practical, hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Lovable.ai, Cursor) for coding, testing, and documentation.
• Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source projects on GitHub.
• Experience in React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+/TypeScript), with an emphasis on using AI-assisted tools for building scalable and high-quality UI components.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js and Express.js, utilizing AI tools to expedite backend development, debugging, and optimization.
• Working knowledge of Java and Spring Boot/Spring MVC.
• Experience working with REST APIs and API documentation tools.
• Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB, including using AI tools for query optimization and troubleshooting.
