At Anthology, we develop software solutions that enable organisations to use their data to make informed strategic decisions. These products help with program assessment, course evaluations, and student engagement, among other elements of higher education. ProdUX experts and our software engineers play a critical role in developing solutions for our member institutions.
We are seeking an Associate Software Engineer to become a part of our expanding team that enables schools and students to experience higher education in a more rewarding and engaged way. Working with a team that engages in the whole product development life cycle, from discovery to delivery, will be your experience.
Responsibilities
- creating and executing solutions for the team-owned portions of the application
- creating and executing plans for the sections of the application that belong to the team
- assuming responsibility for the team's operational product areas
- Acquiring and implementing new duties related to system design
- fixing production problems and flaws for the team's solutions
- ensuring appropriate communication methods within and across teams
- Finding problems with the internal team's communication procedures
- Leading the team's initiatives for process improvement
- Heading the team's solution design
Education Qualifications
- assisting in making sure the team is correctly scoping work
Skills
- 0–2 years of experience working in a team to develop software
- 0–2 years of team-based software development experience
- familiarity with server-side technologies like VB.NET, Asp.NET MVC, and.NET Core
- familiarity with front-end frameworks and libraries like React
- familiarity with NoSQL and/or relational databases
- a desire to be a part of a diverse, multidisciplinary team
- broad understanding of the fundamentals of software development
- proficiency in both spoken and written English
- Preferred abilities/credentials:
- a degree in computer science or a similar discipline, or several years of relevant job experience
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
