Job Description

The BCN Healthcare Center of Excellence (HC COE) delivers specialized support to global teams, focusing on the healthcare and life sciences value chain. This support empowers clients to make well-informed strategic business and investment decisions. The BCN HC COE offers a dynamic environment where you can tackle intricate business challenges in close collaboration with global Bain teams, functioning as a thought partner with daily deliverables.

The Healthcare practice serves leading organizations spanning sectors such as pharmaceuticals, medical technology, healthcare providers, payers, and digital health. Our team primarily focuses on collaborating with practice and case teams to develop and deploy industry-specific analytical products and leverage topic expertise to address the strategic inquiries of Bain’s healthcare clients. Working within a fast-paced environment, our teams consistently deliver impactful results at scale. Experiencing exponential growth in the last two years, we have expanded to include over 30 members in 2024. Operating from our India office, we collaborate across key regions, including EMEA, the Americas, and APAC.

As an Associate, you will be an active and integral team member from your very first day, gaining insights into how to enhance the value and responsibility of businesses. Your contributions will involve generating healthcare-specific domain and company insights, supporting global Bain case teams, client development teams, and industry practices. Associates assume responsibility for completing assigned analyses and providing timely, relevant input on related aspects. You will formulate well-reasoned hypotheses and proactively assist in focusing on the most impactful issues, utilizing a range of tools and techniques, including industry research, presentation development, data analysis, and other strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned workstreams, conducting analysis with guidance from supervisors, and effectively comprehend the work plan and the allocated tasks within the stream.
• Assume full responsibility for assigned tasks, executing them flawlessly and demonstrating the capacity to manage pressure and meet deadlines.
• Quickly acquire knowledge of diverse businesses and topics, performing research and analysis across various geographies and industries.
• Demonstrate proficiency in research, identifying and applying relevant analytical tools to support individual analysis.
• Employ an “answer first” approach, formulating hypotheses supported by robust business insights.
• Proactively identify potential roadblocks and propose viable solutions.
• Assist supervisors in work planning and brainstorming sessions, contributing to key recommendations and potential impact assessments.
• Effectively communicate business insights.
• Understand client needs and adapt to case expectations, exhibiting problem-solving skills with team support.
• Contribute actively in internal meetings, communicating confidently and articulately.
• Create high-impact client deliverables with well-structured narratives to convey key insights.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. While education in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or biotechnology is advantageous, it is not mandatory.
• The ideal candidate will have 0-2 years of pertinent experience.
