Job Description

Branch International experienced rapid expansion in India following its launch in early 2019. To sustain this growth trajectory, a reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure is paramount to support the company’s data-driven products and services. Branch is seeking talented and motivated interns to join its DevOps team and contribute to this critical mission.

As a DevOps Intern, you will collaborate closely with experienced engineers to automate infrastructure processes, optimize deployment pipelines, and enhance system monitoring and observability capabilities. This internship is structured as a 4–6 month program, with the potential for a full-time employment offer based on the intern’s performance and contributions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and implementation of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for both application and data services.
• Utilize containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, to facilitate application scaling and deployment procedures.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning processes using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles and tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
• Provide support for cloud operations across Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments, including services like EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and Lambda, or equivalent services within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions using tools like DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
• Troubleshoot deployment, networking, and performance-related issues in both staging and production environments.
• Collaborate effectively with developers, data engineers, and data analysts to ensure seamless and efficient release cycles.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of fundamental computer science principles, including operating systems, networking concepts, and scripting languages.
• Practical experience with Linux system administration.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI/CD.
• Exposure to cloud computing platforms, including AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks, such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• (Preferred) Experience with monitoring and alerting tools like DataDog, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Must be collaborative, proactive, and possess a strong desire to learn in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
