Job Description

You will join the Data Center Business Unit at Cisco, focusing on advancing networking technologies, particularly in Ethernet Switching products for AI, cloud computing, and enterprise environments. This role offers the chance to gain in-depth knowledge of core Ethernet Technologies and architectural understanding of Ethernet Switching for both Public and Private cloud infrastructures. You will contribute to the development of the critical infrastructure powering world-class Nexus switches and engage in the full software development lifecycle, from innovation and marketing requirements to product delivery, through multi-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop system software for Ethernet switch products.
- Develop SDKs for next-generation feature-rich network ASICs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Hardware, ASIC, Marketing, and Testing groups, to bring developed products to market.
- Interact and innovate in close collaboration with Distinguished and Principal Engineers, with a focus on scale, performance, and reliability.
Qualifications
- BSEE/CS degree combined with 0-2 years of related experience.
- Talented and passionate Software Engineers are sought to contribute to advanced Ethernet Switching solutions.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++.
- Experience with network programming and protocols.
- Strong working knowledge of Networking Technologies such as L2/L3, VXLAN, MPLS, ACL, and QoS.
- Proven understanding of Operating Systems and Distributed Systems.
- Hands-on experience in Switch/Router Software Development.
- Prior experience in developing SDKs for Custom/Merchant ASICs is considered a strong plus.
