Job Description
Defence Research Laboratory (DRL), DRDO, Tezpur, Assam, is conducting a walk-in interview to recruit Junior Research Fellows (JRF) and Research Associates (RA) for various research projects. The positions are for a tenure of two years, with potential for extension based on performance. Specific qualifications, age limits, and stipends are detailed for each category of fellowship. Responsibilities
- Work on ongoing and future research projects at DRL, Tezpur.
- Conduct research as per project requirements in specialized fields like Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Toxicology, Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Life Sciences, Zoology, Veterinary Parasitology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Environmental Sciences, Soil Science, and Horticulture.
- Engage in advanced research areas such as capillary/NGS nucleic acid sequencing and data analysis (desirable for RA), and polymer analysis and instrumentation (desirable for RA).
Qualifications
- For JRF (05 posts): M.Pharm/M.S(Pharm)/M.Tech(Pharm)/M.Tech in Pharmaceutics/Pharmacology & Toxicology/Pharmacology/Pharmaceutical Chemistry with GATE/GPAT/NET.
- For JRF (02 posts): MSc./M.Tech/MVSc in Zoology/Veterinary Parasitology/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences with NET.
- For JRF (01 post): M.Sc./M.Tech in Chemistry/Polymer Chemistry/Chemical Sciences or related fields with NET/GATE.
- For JRF (01 post): M.Sc./M.Tech in Environmental Sciences/Soil Science/Chemistry, Life Sciences or related fields with NET.
- For RA (01 post): Ph.D. in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Life Sciences or related fields.
- For RA (02 posts): Ph.D. in Chemistry/Polymer Chemistry/Chemical Sciences/Textile Chemistry/Textile Engineering.
- For RA (01 post): Ph.D. in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Life Sciences or related fields.
- For RA (01 post): Ph.D. in Polymer Sciences/Chemistry/Chemical Sciences.
- For RA (01 post): Ph.D. in Horticulture.
- Possession of a degree or provisional degree certificate is mandatory.
- For candidates currently employed in Government Departments/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer is required at the time of the interview.
