Job Description

Deltek Professional Services is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join their team. This early-career role involves supporting the design, development, and deployment of custom technical solutions for Deltek products. The Associate Software Engineer will collaborate closely with senior technical staff, consultants, and cross-functional teams to deliver client-specific solutions, while simultaneously building foundational skills in engineering, integration, and automation. The position emphasizes learning, teamwork, and gradually taking on more ownership. Associate Engineers are expected to contribute to project delivery, adhere to established standards and processes, and continuously enhance their technical and professional capabilities to promote consistency, efficiency, and scalability across a global team. A key aspect of this role involves leveraging an AI-first methodology throughout the project lifecycle, utilizing AI-powered tools for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support client-specific customizations, integrations, and automation initiatives under the guidance of senior team members.
• Take ownership of assigned development tasks, ensuring delivery with high quality, within estimated effort, and according to set timelines.
• Adhere to established tools, coding standards, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices, and security protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with a global team, including Team Leads/Senior Developers, Technical Consultants, Project Managers, Deltek partners, subcontractors, and cloud operations personnel.
• Follow established security, quality, and testing protocols, supporting testing activities, and resolving defects under supervision to uphold customer satisfaction and governance standards.
• Utilize AI-first methodology and AI-powered tools throughout the project lifecycle for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable technical solutions.
• Actively engage in continuous learning of new tools, technologies, and Deltek product capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (2025/2026 Pass out) in Computer Science, IT & E&C, or MCA, with a minimum academic record of 70% and above throughout.
• Must be a candidate based in Bangalore.
• Entry-level experience gained through academic projects, internships, lab work, or personal/open-source projects.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, core software development principles, and computer science fundamentals like data structures, algorithms, and logical problem-solving.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated capacity for quickly learning and applying new concepts.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English, enabling clear participation in technical discussions and articulation of ideas.
• A strong learning mindset, characterized by the ability to quickly acquire and apply new knowledge and skills.
