Job Description

The EA Digital Platform (EADP) organization is entrusted with the responsibility of making critical technology decisions and overseeing strategic investments for EA on a global scale, encompassing all divisions and studio teams. Strong technology and engineering leadership is essential for EA to continue producing industry-leading games and services. The EADP team is at the vanguard of providing cross-platform infrastructure and services, ensuring seamless connectivity between our consumers and our games, anytime, anywhere, and with anyone.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate tools to automate processes and enhance overall efficiency.
• Design, maintain, and refine Game call pattern simulation code using C++/Scala to support a variety of applications and features.
• Conduct comprehensive stress and load testing. This includes developing detailed test plans, creating gameplay-driven scenarios, analyzing game logs to accurately represent load generation, and establishing intricate distributed test environments for test execution and load generation.
• Execute tests and deliver precise analysis and reporting of test results.
• Analyze and resolve system and network anomalies related to performance and test automation.
• Troubleshoot and identify the root cause of issues discovered during testing, distinguishing between test-related issues and system component malfunctions.
• Collaborate with team members to monitor and address issues effectively.
• Communicate test status and results to the relevant team members.
• Adhere to EA’s established policies, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and security protocols.
• Provide timely and transparent reporting, proactively communicate potential issues, and demonstrate agility in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
• Proficiency in programming languages, including C++/Scala/Python.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS (preferred), GCP, or Azure.
• Understanding of scalable platform architecture, encompassing end-to-end systems design and architecture.
• A strong passion for and creativity in problem-solving.
• Familiarity with visualization tools (e.g., Grafana) and database technologies (e.g., MySQL, Redis).
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to resolve issues, manage workload and priorities effectively, deliver high-quality results, demonstrate technical innovation and adaptation, and take initiative.
