Job Description
The Associate Analyst position is within the Energy-Power team and is based in Hyderabad. This role requires strong research and analytical capabilities to contribute to GlobalData’s intelligence platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed secondary and primary research, with a particular focus on the power sector. Key activities include profiling power plants, monitoring project pipelines, and analyzing the energy landscape. The role demands excellent communication and analytical skills, with proficiency in MS Excel. Knowledge of the power sector is considered a significant advantage. Responsibilities
- Conduct expert secondary research to profile power plants, including details on fuel source, installed capacity, ownership structures, key players, and technical specifications.
- Proactively monitor upcoming power plant developments and industry announcements by utilizing news aggregators, industry portals, and websites of key industry players.
- Map the energy landscape by identifying major market participants and tracking the lifecycle of new projects from their initial announcement through to their commissioning phase.
- Perform broad and well-developed analytical tasks to support sector insights.
Qualifications
