Hexagon’s R&D Center in India represents the company’s largest global research and development hub. The center houses over 2,100 talented engineers and developers who drive innovation for Hexagon’s diverse portfolio of products and solutions.

Initially established following Hexagon’s acquisition of Intergraph, the first IT multinational corporation in Hyderabad, the center has expanded significantly to deliver innovations and create solutions across all of Hexagon’s business segments. These include Asset Lifecycle Intelligence, Safety Infrastructure & Geospatial, Geosystems, Mining, Manufacturing Intelligence, and Autonomous Solutions. The center also supports dedicated service teams responsible for the global implementation of Hexagon’s product offerings.

Hexagon is currently undergoing a global restructuring process, which will result in the formation of two distinct entities: core Hexagon and NewCo (an internal placeholder name). This job opportunity is specifically for a role within NewCo in India, which comprises approximately 1,650 employees. Following the proposed split, NewCo is projected to have 5,000 employees globally, with an annual revenue exceeding €1 billion.

Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for developing and executing automated tests, as well as analyzing the results within the Quality Assurance framework of an OnCall Development project. This includes adapting to evolving specifications and ensuring the successful achievement of project milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency in software testing of web-based applications, employing advanced automation testing methodologies.
• Proven experience in the development of automation frameworks, with strong expertise in Rest/Web API automation using Playwright, NodeJs, JavaScript, or Python.
• Hands-on experience utilizing UI automation tools such as Selenium.
• Practical experience with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps (AZDO).
• Solid understanding of writing SQL queries and performing backend data validations.
• Substantial knowledge of cloud technologies, specifically Azure and AWS.
• Extensive experience with Load Testing tools, including VS Load Testing, k6, and JMeter.
• Experience working with Azure DevOps Testing Strategy.
• Capability to generate comprehensive test reports and derive key performance indicator (KPI) metrics.
• Significant experience in Requirement Analysis, Test planning, executing diverse testing types and Defect tracking.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing requirements while effectively managing multiple deadlines.
• Thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Bug Life Cycle.
• Strong analytical abilities and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
