Responsibilities
Qualifications
- Nationality: Applicants must be citizens of India, as defined by the Indian Citizenship Act of 1955.
- Age:
- Flying Branch (AFCAT and NCC Special Entry): Candidates must be between 20 and 24 years of age as of 01 January 2027, meaning they must have been born between 02 January 2003 and 01 January 2007 (both dates inclusive). The upper age limit is relaxable to 26 years for candidates holding a valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by the DGCA (India), i.e., born between 02 January 2001 to 01 January 2007 (both dates inclusive).
- Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch: Candidates must be between 20 and 26 years of age as of 01 January 2027, meaning they must have been born between 02 January 2001 and 01 January 2007 (both dates inclusive).
- Marital Status: Candidates must be unmarried at the time the course commences, and marriage is prohibited during training. Candidates who marry during training will be discharged and must reimburse all expenses incurred by the government on their behalf.
- Educational Qualifications:
- Flying Branch: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in both Mathematics and Physics. Additionally, they must meet one of the following criteria:
- Hold a graduation degree with a minimum of three years’ duration in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
- Possess a BE/B Tech degree (four-year course) from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
- Have cleared Sections A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
- Ground Duty (Technical) Branch:
- Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)}: Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level, possess an MSc in Electronics with a minimum of 50% marks and a BSc in Physics with a minimum of 60%, OR hold a minimum of four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology from a recognized University, OR have cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate membership examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in the following disciplines:
