Job Description

As an Infrastructure Specialist at Kyndryl, you will serve as a subject matter expert, engaging in project-based assignments focused on infrastructure solutions. Your responsibilities will encompass analyzing technical issues, producing comprehensive documentation, developing clear diagrams for seamless knowledge transfer, and delivering timely and effective solutions. This role requires a proactive, solution-oriented individual with a keen understanding of the interplay between systems and their environments.

This position is multifaceted, involving contributions to ongoing projects through problem analysis, solution development, system testing, modification, automation, and integration. Additionally, you will be involved in the long-term strategic planning of IT infrastructure and the execution of operational strategies. The role is platform-agnostic, necessitating a broad understanding of various systems and offering diverse opportunities for professional development unique to Kyndryl.

You will be involved early in projects to provide solutions, assess feasibility, and identify potential technical and timeline risks. This will involve managing both client expectations and internal challenges, presenting numerous opportunities to make significant contributions that will be highly visible. A key indicator of success in this role is when clients specifically request your expertise for future engagements, highlighting the impact you can make.

This project-focused role provides opportunities for deep involvement throughout the project lifecycle and close collaboration with Architects, Technicians, and Project Managers. Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Extensive expertise in specific technology areas, including software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, and data analytics.
• Experience with enterprise IT applications.
• Hands-on experience in at least one of the following: software development, DevOps engineering, systems administration, or systems architecture, preferably in public cloud AWS domain.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Proven experience in driving engineering solutions and collaborating effectively across teams.
• Extensive experience and sound judgment for planning and executing goals.
• Ability to apply general principles to specific situations to derive logical conclusions and solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in process improvement.
