Job Description
Prasar Bharati is seeking applications from motivated and enthusiastic individuals for the position of Technical Intern, to be engaged on a full-time contractual basis. These internships will be located at various Akashvani and Doordarshan Kendras within the South Zone.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, operation, and maintenance of broadcast and IT equipment within Radio and Television stations, including studios, Outside Broadcasting (OB) vans, and transmission sites.
- Provide support for daily technical operations, including signal monitoring, fault detection, live telecast support, uplink/downlink operations, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with teams on technical planning related to infrastructure development, studio upgrades, and Civil/Electrical maintenance projects.
- Assist in digital archiving, server management, and software/hardware troubleshooting within IT operations.
- Provide technical support for outdoor broadcasts, reconnaissance visits, and special live events as assigned.
Qualifications
- Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering from a Government-recognized university or institution (approved by AICTE/UGC) in a relevant stream, such as Electronics, Telecommunication, Electrical, Civil, IT, or Computer Science. A minimum of 65% marks in the relevant stream is required.
- Recent graduates or post-graduates, specifically those who completed their degree in the academic year 2024-25, are eligible to apply.
- Candidates awaiting final results may also apply, provided they submit a certificate from the Head of their Institution. This certificate must state that they are expected to meet the minimum marks criteria upon the declaration of results.
