This is an entry-level position suitable for candidates with zero to three years of experience in software development and testing. The selected individual will participate in a comprehensive training program designed to enhance their skills and knowledge. Upon successful completion of the training, assignments to specific teams and roles will be made based on prevailing business needs. These roles may encompass software development, testing, or other engineering functions aligned with business requirements.

As an Associate Software Engineer I, you will contribute to the design, implementation, testing, and ongoing maintenance of both new and existing applications and systems. We are looking for a candidate who thrives in a collaborative, learning-oriented environment. This position demands strong problem-solving abilities, a demonstrated aptitude for teamwork, and clear, open communication throughout the software delivery lifecycle. The engineer will actively participate in engineering activities and SCRUM ceremonies. Responsibilities

• Participate in a customized onboarding program within the first 90 days to accelerate the development of software engineering skills.
• Translate business requirements into well-defined technical specifications and deliverables.
• Design, implement, and rigorously test applications and software systems to ensure quality and functionality.
• Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to establish and maintain robust TDD/CI/CD development and Q/A environments.
• Provide valuable feedback and influence the design process to facilitate the construction of easily testable platforms, applications, and data models.
• Prioritize the design and implementation of quality, performance, and reliability from the initial stages of development.
• Assume full ownership of assigned tasks and manage them comprehensively throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
• Thoroughly investigate and resolve any defects identified within the established system.
• Contribute to defining non-functional requirements and developing and testing systems that effectively meet those requirements.
• Write clean, efficient, well-designed, and thoroughly documented code.
• Conduct comprehensive software analysis, programming, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting activities.
• Actively participate as a member of a distributed Agile team, contributing to its overall success and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration.
• A demonstrable passion for programming and a commitment to software quality.
• The ability and willingness to work collaboratively with distributed teams.
• A proactive, problem-solving attitude and the capacity to thrive as a team member.
• A solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles.
• Some prior experience with Java or .NET-based applications, Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), and Web Services.
• Exposure to development using Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and microservice architecture is desirable.
• A strong willingness to acquire new skills and adapt to evolving project requirements.
• Zero to three years of experience in software development and testing, preferably using C# or Java.
