Job Description

The Technology and Customer Applications team is responsible for the complete lifecycle of software solutions, encompassing design, development, delivery, and ongoing support. As a Summer Intern, you will collaborate within a diverse, multi-functional team environment. Collaboration with external teams may also be required to integrate their solutions into our products, always prioritizing the customer experience. This position offers an opportunity to participate in the Early Careers IMPACT (Innovative Mentoring and Professional Acceleration in Commodities) program. This program is designed for recent graduates who are passionate about addressing real-world challenges and utilizing cutting-edge technologies to make a significant impact. Throughout the 18-month program, participants will have the opportunity to explore various roles through three six-month rotations, supported by ongoing coaching and mentorship.

The IMPACT program consists of three six-month rotations (3*6) across different technology domains. These domains may include Full Stack Development, Data Science/AI-ML, Data Engineering/Data Virtualization, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Automation (Test/Infrastructure), Agile Project Management, and Product Development. Each participant will gain specialized knowledge in three to four of these areas during the on-the-job training period. Following the rotations, participants will be assigned to a specific technology area based on their specialization. Each rotation is strategically designed to provide recent graduates with exposure to a diverse range of projects, technologies, and roles, ensuring a comprehensive and well-rounded learning experience.

These rotations will provide invaluable insights into various technological domains, enhance skills, and establish a solid career foundation. Through structured training, mentorship, and diverse project-based assignments, participants will develop a strong foundation in energy research, gain insight into industry best practices, and contribute to solving real-world challenges.

The Technology Team plays a crucial role in our success by developing innovative software solutions to meet emerging needs, adopting new technologies, and maintaining a competitive edge by providing industry-leading enterprise solutions tailored to our customers.

Responsibilities

• This role focuses on the development and delivery of solutions and core software products.
• This includes translating change requests into technical designs and implementations that enhance existing functionality, add new capabilities, and continuously improve core product architecture.
• All team members are accountable for ensuring the successful delivery of solutions into production, guaranteeing performance, resilience, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or another analytical/technical field (Graduating year 2026).
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Willingness to work in 24*5 rotational shifts depending on business requirements.
• Knowledge of coding, data structures, and algorithms.
• A strong desire to pursue a career in software development and delivery, with the demonstrated ability to quickly understand and apply new technical concepts and frameworks.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• An aptitude to learn and adapt quickly in a rapidly evolving environment.
• The ability to build strong working relationships in a collaborative setting.
• Familiarity with database concepts.
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming, clean code principles, and design patterns.
• Knowledge of techniques such as unit testing, pair programming, and code reviews.
