Clarivate is seeking an enthusiastic Associate Healthcare Research and Data Analyst to become an integral part of our Medtech Insights team located in Bengaluru, India. This presents a compelling opportunity to engage in comprehensive market research activities, encompassing both primary and secondary research methodologies, perform thorough competitive analyses, evaluate clinical trials, conduct financial analyses, develop market forecasts, generate actionable insights, produce exhaustive market research reports, and execute bespoke consulting projects tailored to the medical device and broader healthcare sectors. Our team comprises approximately 25 professionals distributed across three distinct groups within India, all reporting to their respective team managers. We possess a wealth of expertise in market research and consulting specifically related to the medical device and healthcare markets. Responsibilities
- Conducting interviews with industry stakeholders and relevant medical professionals.
- Overseeing the execution of online and in-person surveys targeting physicians.
- Searching Clarivate’s internal research repository/library for relevant data points.
- Leveraging financial, regulatory, and governmental documentation to extract critical medical approval information.
- Developing and forecasting models for medical, pharmaceutical, and healthcare markets, including, but not limited to:
- Integrating disparate data points into a cohesive market model.
- Translating qualitative data into actionable quantitative metrics.
- Formulating hypotheses regarding market and competitive dynamics based on both primary and secondary data sources.
- Employing MS Excel and database management systems to manipulate and analyze large datasets.
- Forecasting market trends based on anticipated events, new product introductions, and other factors that may disrupt the market.
- Identifying data trends and anomalies using time-series tables and graphical representations.
- Authoring and preparing comprehensive research reports.
- Delivering insightful market analyses to contextualize trends and substantiate accompanying market figures.
- Producing in-depth competitive analyses derived from both primary and secondary research efforts.
- Integrating numerical data into cohesive tables and narrative text.
- Developing hypotheses concerning potential competitive strategies within the analyzed markets.
- Identifying the market potential for products across global geographies.
- Analyzing qualitative trends within diverse medical sectors.
- Conducting specialized research focused on specific medical technologies or geographic regions.
Qualifications
- A foundational understanding or practical experience in secondary market research and forecasting techniques.
- A Master’s degree (MA, MS in life sciences or MBA) is a prerequisite.
- Proficiency in utilizing MS Excel.
- Demonstrated strong presentation and written communication capabilities.
- The capacity to effectively manage and adhere to stringent deadlines.
- Possession of sound business acumen to facilitate sales success, drive continuous improvements, and foster strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
