Job Description
Amazon India is recruiting for a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC) position as an Investigation Specialist within the Transaction Risk Management Team. This role is essential for identifying and eliminating e-commerce risks. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, a results-driven mindset, and experience in e-commerce payments or trust and safety environments. This position demands excellent independent judgment for planning and goal achievement, working with minimal supervision. The Investigation Specialist will be responsible for authenticating customers and complex transactions through robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of accuracy. Frequent written and verbal communication with various stakeholders, including management, analysts, engineers, and third parties, is a core component of the role. Performance will be assessed on productivity, quality assurance, and overall contribution to departmental development. This is a seasonal role, with employment on Amazon’s payroll.

Responsibilities
- Investigate suspicious activities and behaviors that could pose a risk to Amazon or our customers in global markets.
- Ensure high-quality decisions by applying Buyer Abuse prevention standard operational procedures.
- Identify known abuse patterns, discover new modus operandi trends, and take actions to minimize risks.
- Utilize a wide range of internet and in-house tools to research transactions and gather data for accurate decision-making.
- Take appropriate actions to identify and help minimize Amazon’s financial, legal, and reputational risk.
- Maintain high levels of confidentiality and data security standards.
- Achieve weekly productivity and quality standards for investigations.
- Communicate via email to internal customers and financial institutions to make informed decisions about risk.
Qualifications
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Experience in payments or e-commerce.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze problems logically.
- Self-disciplined, diligent, proactive, and detail-oriented.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Effectively prioritize work time to ensure productivity and fulfill department standards for time spent.
- Excellent ability to determine situational needs and provide appropriate solutions.
