Job Description
The Financial Literacy Counsellor (FLC) position is located at various Financial Literacy Centres (FLCs) throughout the Bank’s operational regions. The nature of this engagement is strictly contractual and will initially be for a one-year period. Renewal of the contract is contingent upon satisfactory performance and at the discretion of the Bank, in accordance with the Bank’s established policy regarding Financial Literacy Centers.

Responsibilities
- Operating from the designated Financial Literacy Centre (FLC) during standard working hours, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on all bank working days.
- Providing financial literacy, education, and credit counselling services to the general public at the assigned FLC.
- Conducting a minimum of 10 financial literacy camps per month, following a pre-approved schedule.
- Promoting awareness of initiatives launched by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the Government, such as Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY).
- Guiding customers on topics such as smart savings strategies, responsible borrowing practices, digital transaction methods, cyber security measures, and available grievance redressal mechanisms.
- Maintaining comprehensive records of all camps conducted and submitting periodic reports to the Regional Office and the Head Office (Financial Inclusion Department).
- Assisting in coordinating efforts with the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETIs), Lead District Managers (LDMs), and District Officials in the implementation of financial inclusion programs.
Qualifications
- Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, following a (10+2+3) pattern, from a recognized University within India.
- Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in both Telugu and English languages, encompassing reading, writing, and speaking skills.
- Applicants must possess adequate computer literacy, including familiarity with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and basic Internet operations.
- Minimum Age: 35 years.
- Maximum Age: 63 years as of the date of this notification.
- Engagement is permitted up to a maximum age of 65 years.
- Preference will be given to Retired Bank Officials (Scale-I and above) with a clean service record and experience working in rural or semi-urban areas.
- In the event that suitable retired officials are not available, candidates possessing banking knowledge and financial literacy experience, along with relevant IIBF certification, will be considered.
- Retired bank officials holding positions of Senior Manager or higher, with substantial rural service and exposure to Financial Inclusion initiatives, will be preferred for Senior Counsellor roles.
- Applicants should be in good health and possess strong communication skills.
- Applicants should be residents of Andhra Pradesh, preferably from the same district or a nearby district where the FLC is located.
- Applicants must have no history of financial irregularities or disciplinary actions.
