Job Description

During this 4-6 month internship, you will collaborate closely with experienced Branch engineers, making substantial contributions to our products and codebase. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire software development lifecycle: brainstorming new features, designing solutions, implementing code, debugging, and ultimately deploying features that directly impact millions of our customers. Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for developing new functionality for both existing and upcoming product lines and platforms, including but not limited to Credit, Wallet, Payments, KYC, and Data Platforms. This will involve the integration of various third-party systems, such as payment gateways, identity verification providers, and messaging services. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring seamless communication and data flow between our internal systems and external partners.

Skills

• Ideally, you possess experience building Backend or Android applications beyond simple toy projects. Demonstrated experience with applications used by real users or contributions to open-source projects are highly valued. A strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including distributed systems and data storage principles, is essential. Familiarity with various Unix flavors and common command-line tools is required. Proficiency in at least one popular programming language such as Python, Ruby, or Java is necessary. Beyond technical skills, we seek highly entrepreneurial individuals who proactively identify and solve problems. Prior experience initiating and/or contributing to personal projects demonstrates this initiative. Excellent collaboration and communication skills are crucial, as you will be working within a team environment. A willingness to thrive in a distributed, global team setting, where you'll collaborate with colleagues across international locations, is a key attribute. A genuine enthusiasm for continuous learning and growth is also highly desired.
