Job Description
Caterpillar is seeking motivated individuals to join its 2026 Field Representative Development Program in India. This comprehensive program is designed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge required to collaborate effectively with Caterpillar Dealers, driving strategy alignment and fostering customer loyalty. The program spans 18-24 months, beginning with a 12-week intensive training period covering Caterpillar’s products, organizational values, and consultation techniques. This initial training includes workshops and travel to Caterpillar facilities in Asia and Europe to enhance technical, product, and business acumen. Following the training, participants will engage in various rotational assignments across Caterpillar, gaining experience in strategy, services, and product management. The ultimate goal is to place graduates into field-based positions where they will manage assigned territories, serving as a vital link between dealers and Caterpillar, supporting machine sales teams, and contributing to customer success amidst evolving sustainability goals. This entry-level role is a stepping stone to a field position supporting Caterpillar Dealers and customers, with a program start date of June 2026.

Responsibilities
- Build foundational knowledge of Caterpillar, its products, services, and customers.
- Develop personally and professionally through soft skills training and hands-on technical instruction.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts in product development, dealer management, marketing, and sales.
- Participate in various rotational assignments across Caterpillar to learn about strategy, services, and products.
- Ultimately, manage an assigned territory and act as a liaison between dealers and Caterpillar.
- Develop strategies for specific industries to increase product sales and market share.
- Represent Caterpillar to mitigate the technical and commercial impact of customer complaints related to products, applications, and maintenance.
- Support machine sales teams.
Qualifications
- Accredited university/college degree in Marketing, Science, Engineering, Technical, or a related business/technical field.
- 1-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Advanced proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- Willingness to travel extensively (50-70%).
- Willingness to relocate domestically/internationally as per business needs.
- Customer Focus: Understanding of practices that prioritize customer needs and satisfaction in business decisions.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques for clear transmission and reception of information.
- Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for identifying and resolving organizational or process issues.
