Cognizant is currently seeking motivated and skilled individuals to join our organization as Analyst Trainees. This hiring initiative is specifically designed for students graduating in 2025 with a three-year full-time degree. Positions are available in multiple locations across India.

Job Description

Successful candidates will be assigned to one of the following areas based on their qualifications and Cognizant’s business needs: Multicloud, Digital Workplace Services, Integrated Smart Operations, or IT practice. Detailed job descriptions for each area are provided below:

Responsibilities

• Performing database queries and CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations.
• Developing and implementing stored procedures.
• Preparing and executing test cases.
• Analyzing and resolving service tickets according to standard operating procedures.
• Demonstrating proficiency in IT Service Management and Data Analytics tools.
• Exhibiting a strong inclination towards innovation and experimentation within projects.
• Describing relationships between tables and writing queries to retrieve data from databases.
• Creating test cases, scripts, and data, and executing manual and automated tests.
• Maintaining and administering computing environments.
• Monitoring production servers.
• Handling incident management processes.
• Providing support for Windows, Network, Database, Storage, Messaging, Collaboration, and Cloud environments.
• Performing activities based on defined guidelines in SOPs/Runbooks with an understanding of business impact.
• Adhering to customer security and compliance requirements.
• Following customer communication etiquettes.
• Ensuring stated productivity requirements for the engagement.
• Contributing to continuous service improvement plans (CSI).
• Participating proactively in knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Serving as a buddy for new hires.
• Adhering to organizational policies and processes (including Cognizant’s security policies, LP, timelines, etc.).
• Providing technical support to clients, including troubleshooting and resolving IT issues.
• Ensuring the smooth functioning of clients’ computer systems and IT services.
• Providing first-line technical support and assistance to end-users, addressing their IT-related issues and inquiries.
• Logging and tracking all support tickets, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution of problems.
• Troubleshooting hardware and software problems, performing diagnosis and resolving technical issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborating with other IT teams to escalate complex issues and ensure prompt resolution.
• Maintaining knowledge base articles and documentation to enhance self-service options and facilitate efficient problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Students graduating in 2025 with a three-year full-time degree (BCA, BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology (allied streams), Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, Electronics) are eligible to apply.
• Consistent academic record with a minimum of 60% in X, XII, Diploma, and UG (rounding off 59.9% is not permitted).
• At the time of joining, recruits must have a minimum 60% aggregate in their pursuing degree with no outstanding arrears.
• Candidates awaiting re-evaluation results will have their applications validated based on the initially declared scores.
• CGPA to percentage conversion will be considered as per university norms.
• Candidates with existing arrears are ineligible to apply.
• Flexibility to work from any Cognizant office location across various shifts and technologies is mandatory.
• Open to Indian nationals and OCIs (Overseas Citizens of India) currently residing in India.
• Students graduating in 2025 with any three-year full-time degree are eligible to apply.
• Consistent academic record with a minimum of 50% in X, XII, Diploma, and UG (rounding off 49.9% is not permitted).
• Candidates with existing arrears are ineligible to apply.
• Flexibility to work from any Cognizant office location across various shifts and technologies is mandatory.
• Open to Indian nationals and OCIs currently residing in India.
• Candidates who have participated in Cognizant’s hiring process within the past five years (2019-2024) should indicate this on the registration form.
