Job Description
CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (IITR), Lucknow, is actively seeking applications from eligible Indian Nationals for two distinct Group-C positions: Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and Driver. A total of six vacancies are available, with three for MTS and three for Driver. The application period opens on January 20, 2026, and closes on February 19, 2026. Responsibilities
- Physical maintenance of records in Office/Division/Guest House etc.
- Ensuring general cleanliness, dusting, and upkeep of Office/Division/Guest House/Sections etc.
- Transporting files and documents between offices/divisions/guest houses.
- Performing photocopying, scanning, binding, and filing of documents.
- Receiving and delivering official mail (Dak).
- Managing the opening and closing of sections/offices.
- Assisting in Research & Development activities.
- Collecting and remitting Guest House charges.
- Addressing staff and guest complaints, queries, and requirements.
- Preparing and serving tea, coffee, snacks, and cookies to staff and guests.
- Potentially working in shift duties as required.
- Maintaining and upkeeping gardens and green spaces.
- Planting, nurturing, and caring for plants, along with garden maintenance tasks like mowing, trimming, weeding, and debris removal.
- Performing watering, fertilizing, and pest control in gardens.
- Maintaining work area records, stock entries, and logbooks.
- Undertaking any other duties assigned by the Competent Authority.
- Driving LMV and HMV vehicles for safe transportation of personnel and materials.
- Ensuring the maintenance and cleanliness of vehicles.
- Scheduling vehicle maintenance and repairs to keep them roadworthy.
- Managing vehicle records and logbooks.
- Coordinating with the office for vehicle-related bill processing, Fast-tag, and insurance renewals.
Qualifications
- Matriculation or equivalent pass (for MTS).
- Possession of a valid driving license for Light Motor Vehicles (LMV) & Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMV) (for Driver).
- Knowledge of motor mechanism, including the ability to remove minor vehicle defects (for Driver).
- At least 3 years of experience driving a motor car (for Driver).
- Passed 10th standard (for Driver).
