Responsibilities
Qualifications
- A candidate must be either:
(i) A Citizen of India, or
(ii) A subject of Nepal, or
(iii) A subject of Bhutan, or
(iv) A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanent settlement, or
(v) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Minimum: 21 years

- A. For Probationary Officers (Generalists)
A Bachelor’s Degree/ Graduate in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Candidates must possess a valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate demonstrating graduation on the registration date and must indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation during online registration.
- B. For Probationary Officers (Specialists)
- Rajbhasha/Hindi
(i) Master’s degree in Hindi /Hindi Translation, with English as core/Elective/Major subject at the Bachelor’s Degree level with minimum 55% for SC/ST and 60% for others from a recognized University; OR (ii) Master’s degree in English with Hindi as core/elective/major subject at the bachelor’s degree level with minimum 55%for SC/ST and 60% for others from a recognized University. OR (iii) Master’s degree in any discipline with English and Hindi as core/elective/major subjects at the bachelor’s degree level with minimum 55%for SC/ST and 60% for others from a recognized University. OR (iv) Master’s degree in both English and Hindi/Hindi translation with minimum 55%for SC/ST and 60% for others from a recognized University.
