Responsibilities
- Write SQL queries to extract, join, and validate data.
- Perform data cleaning and preparation using Python libraries like Pandas and NumPy.
- Assist in building datasets for reporting and dashboard creation.
- Conduct basic data quality checks, including identifying duplicates, handling missing values, and performing reconciliation.
- Support small-scale tasks within AI/ML or Generative AI use cases.
- Assist with prompt testing, dataset preparation, and evaluation of AI model responses.
- Contribute to simple Proof of Concepts (POCs) such as chatbot flows, document Q&A, or supporting classification/prediction models.
- Clearly document learning processes and project outcomes.
- Learn and adhere to established coding standards and review comment practices.
- Utilize Git/GitHub for code updates and version control.
- Write clean, readable code and implement basic unit checks where necessary.
- Create straightforward technical notes and user guides.
- Collaborate with senior team members in agile development environments, participating in daily updates, task boards, and sprint work.
- Proactively communicate blockers and seek assistance from leads.
- Clearly communicate progress and updates to project leads.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in B.E./B. Tech/MCA.
- Preferred academic streams: Computer Science, IT, AI, Data Science, or related fields.
- Basic to good hands-on experience with Python, including functions, loops, file handling, and debugging.
- Strong foundational knowledge of SQL, including joins, group by, subqueries, and filtering.
- Basic understanding of data types, arrays/lists, dictionaries, error handling, debugging, and logical problem-solving steps.
- Familiarity with data handling libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
- Experience with data cleaning and transformation processes.
- Understanding of relational database concepts, including tables, keys, and relationships.
- Good problem-solving mindset and a strong attitude towards learning.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work from the office and meet project timelines.
