Responsibilities

  • Undergo on-the-job training and practical training as per the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 in the specified trade/discipline.
  • Participate in operations and maintenance activities within the plant area, particularly in the petroleum refining process.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations during the apprenticeship period.
  • Complete the prescribed duration of training for the assigned trade/discipline.
  • Develop skills and knowledge relevant to the specific trade/discipline to contribute to national skill building.

Qualifications

  • Trade Apprentice – Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant): B.Sc. (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry)
  • Trade Apprentice (Fitter): Matric with ITI in Fitter Trade of minimum 2 years duration with Pass class
  • Technician Apprentice – Chemical: 3 years Diploma in Chemical Engg./Petrochemical Engg./Chemical Technology / Refinery and Petrochemical Engg.
  • Technician Apprentice – Mechanical: 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engg.
  • Technician Apprentice – Electrical: 3 years Diploma in Electrical Engg. / Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engg.
  • Technician Apprentice – Instrumentation: 3 years Diploma in Instrumentation Engg./ Instrumentation & Electronics/ Instrumentation & Control Engg. / Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engg.
  • Trade Apprentice – Secretarial Assistant (Panipat): B.A./B.Sc./B.Com
  • Trade Apprentice – Secretarial Assistant (New Delhi): B.A./B.Sc./B.Com
  • Trade Apprentice – Accountant: B.Com
  • Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Fresher Apprentices): Class XII pass
  • Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holders): Class XII pass with Skill Certificate holder in ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’
  • Prescribed qualification must be from a recognized Board/University/Institute as a regular full-time course.
  • Minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC and PwBD candidates) for Class XII / Graduate / Diploma holders.
  • For ITI qualification, eligibility is pass marks in a regular full-time ITI course recognised by NCVT/SCVT.
  • Diploma/Graduation/ITI in specified branches/subjects only will be considered.
  • Candidates with higher professional qualifications (B.E./B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA, etc.) are not eligible.
  • Candidates possessing a qualification acquired through part-time/correspondence/distance education mode are not eligible.
  • Candidates with job experience of one year or more after attaining the qualification are not eligible.
  • Candidates who have completed five years after acquiring the prescribed qualification are not eligible.
  • Candidates applying for Code 101 or 108 (Secretarial Assistant) must hold a B.Sc. (Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry) or B.Com, respectively.
  • Candidates applying for Code 108 (Secretarial Assistant) must specify their preferred training location (Panipat or New Delhi).
  • For PwBD candidates, a Disability Certificate issued by a competent authority as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 and Rules, 2017 is mandatory.
