About the Company
Kroll is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Analyst I within the Client Services Operations team.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and rigorous analysis of trial balances and diverse accounting schedules, with a strong emphasis on ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of all financial data. This includes the critical task of transferring trial balance data into both the Income Statement (IS) and Balance Sheet (BS) formats. Furthermore, the role requires providing support in the generation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and analyses, contributing to the overall financial intelligence of the organization.
A key aspect of the position involves updating and inputting data into various financial models and templates, strictly adhering to the guidelines and specifications established by various Business Units (BUs) and Clients. This necessitates a meticulous approach and a commitment to maintaining data consistency and reliability.
The role requires a comprehensive analysis of financial statements, encompassing the income statement, balance sheet, cash flows, key financial ratios, and segment performance. The Analyst I is expected to leverage their financial knowledge to proactively identify exceptions, anomalies, and significant variations in financial data, contributing to timely and informed decision-making.
Maintaining exceptional quality standards is paramount. The role demands a minimum quality score of >99% on all processed work, ensuring that quality-checked documents (version 2s) are completed within a timeframe of 24-48 hours or as per the agreed-upon Turnaround Time (TAT).
The candidate must consistently meet timeliness expectations as defined by the business, demonstrating a commitment to delivering results within established deadlines.
Proactive communication is essential. The Analyst I will be expected to raise queries promptly with Team Leads (TLs) to facilitate swift resolution of issues and maintain workflow efficiency.
The candidate will contribute to process improvement by suggesting innovative ideas that reduce processing time or generate cost benefits, contributing to operational efficiency.
Participation in pilot runs for projects will be required to determine the cycle time for each record, enabling accurate reporting to leadership and informed project management.
Active engagement in training sessions and walkthrough calls with the broader team is expected, including asking pertinent questions to enhance understanding and knowledge sharing.
The Analyst I must strictly adhere to all Kroll policies, procedures, and protocols at all times, ensuring compliance and maintaining ethical standards.
Active participation and contribution to team huddles are necessary to foster collaboration and maintain open communication channels.
The candidate will proactively support key initiatives designed to implement change, contributing to continuous improvement within the organization.
The role includes communicating project status updates and delivering products and services that ensure stakeholder satisfaction, building strong relationships and maintaining trust.
Assistance in process documentation, including the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and checklists, is required to ensure process standardization and knowledge retention.

Qualifications
- Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in fields such as Banking and Finance (BAF), Banking and Financial Markets (BFM), Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com), Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), Bachelor of Business and Insurance (BBI), or Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Management is acceptable.
- A Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Management Studies (MMS) degree from an accredited college or university is also a suitable qualification.
- Progress towards obtaining Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification is highly desirable.
- The ideal candidate will possess between 0 and 2 years of relevant experience as a research analyst.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, with particularly strong skills in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint being highly desirable.
- The candidate must demonstrate strong analytical, comprehension, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a prerequisite for this role.
- A solid understanding of financial statements and accounting concepts is required, with a preferred background or exposure in financial reporting, financial modeling, and the preparation of trial balances and various accounting schedules.
