Job Description

The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), an esteemed Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs, is actively seeking applications from qualified Indian nationals for direct recruitment to various Scientific and Technical positions. Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Possess Ph.D. Degree in relevant discipline or Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology/Psychology/Criminology/Neuropsychology/Clinical Psychology/Investigative Psychology or any other discipline of Psychology from a recognized University or Institute (for Sr. Scientific Officer – Psychology roles).
• For Sr. Scientific Officer (Psychology), requires a minimum of 02 years of experience with a Ph.D. or 05 years of experience with a Master’s degree in analysis/Research in a relevant field.
• Possess Master’s degree in Psychology/Criminology/Neuropsychology/Forensic Psychology/Clinical Psychology/Investigative Psychology or any other discipline of Psychology or Forensic Science with specialization in Psychology or Criminology (for Jr. Scientific Officer – Psychology roles).
• For Jr. Scientific Officer (Psychology), requires Three (03) Years’ Experience in analysis/Research related to Psychology/Criminology/Neuropsychology/Forensic Psychology/Clinical Psychology/Investigative Psychology/Forensic Psychology.
• Possess Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical and Electronics (EEE), Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security), or Master degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Physics, Forensic Science, Forensic Science (specialization Cyber Forensics), Digital Forensics, Digital forensics and Information Security, Cyber Security, Multimedia Forensics, Information and Communication Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or Cyber Security Management (for Jr. Scientific Officer – Multimedia Forensics roles).
• For Jr. Scientific Officer (Multimedia Forensics), requires Three (03) Years’ Experience of analysis/research in a relevant field.
• Possess Master degree in Zoology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Human Genetics, Molecular Biology, Life Science, Biological Sciences, Forensic Biotechnology, Forensic Science, Forensic Science (with specialization in Forensic Biology/Biotechnology), or Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology (for Jr. Scientific Officer – DNA Forensics roles).
• For Jr. Scientific Officer (DNA Forensics), requires Three (03) Years’ Experience in analytical methods and research in a relevant field.
• Possess Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical and Electronics (EEE), Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security), or Master degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Physics, Forensic Science, Forensic Science (specialization Cyber Forensics), Digital Forensics, Digital forensics and Information Security, Cyber Security, Multimedia Forensics, Information and Communication Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or Cyber Security Management (for Sr. Scientific Assistant – Multimedia Forensics roles).
• Possess Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Physical Anthropology, Genetics, Chemistry, Bio chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Forensic Science, or Criminology (for Laboratory Assistant roles).

Recruitment Advertisement No: NFSU/TECHNICAL POSTS/10/2025, Dated: 18.12.2025. The selection process for Sr. No. 01 and 02 involves an overall record and performance in the interview. For Sr. No. 03, 04, 05, 06, and 07, selection is based on merit marks obtained in a written test. The University reserves the right to conduct screening tests to shortlist candidates. No TA/DA will be paid for attending any test or interview. Selected candidates may be placed at any of the University’s campuses, and appointments are transferable across all campuses. Probation period for permanent appointments is two years. Candidates already in service must submit a No Objection Certificate and Vigilance Clearance Certificate.
